I must admit that growing up in Indonesia, I hardly think soup as...a soup. Most soups we have are consumed with rice...as a dish :)
ReplyDeleteLiving in HK for a while, I noticed how HK families commit themselves to their soup...I still have to learn to appreciate the importance of soup though.

Yes, brilliant piece indeed! Growing up on Canto food, Chinese soup is the only thing I crave when I'm away from home too long!

ReplyDeleteThe one thing I have to have at all meals during dinner is soup. Sometimes, it can be simple as like cream of corn, but a meal doesn't feel complete without this course...
